Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information handled by Ascendance LLC.

Quiz progress is temporary. Contact details, quiz progress, and answers are stored for up to 30 days so you can return. After a subscription starts, the birth details needed for future features are moved into a private birth profile.

Generated readings and chats are not stored by us. They are processed to provide the requested response and are not added to your database profile.

Palm images are not stored by us. The image is resized in your browser, sent once for interpretation, and not written to our database.

We do not see your full card number. Stripe processes payments and subscription billing.

Name and email address

Collected when you save the quiz, subscribe, sign in, contact us, or voluntarily join the newsletter. We use this information to save progress, deliver transactional messages, connect purchases to access, and respond to requests.

Newsletter preference

Stored only when you separately and voluntarily opt in. We retain your email, name, consent time, source, and subscription status so we can send requested horoscope and editorial emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option.

Google account information

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive the account identifier and basic profile information authorized through Google, such as your verified email, display name, and profile image. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, or Calendar. We use this information only for authentication and account recovery.

Birth date, time, and place

Used to calculate your chart. A paid profile can contain your birth date, birth time or an “unknown” marker, birthplace coordinates, place name, and historical time zone. A local copy may also remain in your browser until you clear it.

Quiz answers and consent record

Quiz answers, the current step, and the version and time of your legal acceptance are stored in your browser and in a private, server-only quiz session for up to 30 days. If you subscribe, the session is linked to the purchase so your birth profile can be created.

Palm image

Processed only when you upload one. Your browser resizes and re-encodes the image, which removes EXIF metadata such as location tags. We send the resulting image to the AI provider for the requested interpretation and do not store it in our database.

Chat messages and generated-reading inputs

Sent to the AI provider to generate a response. We do not save the conversation or generated reading in your Orbital Karma profile.

Subscription and transaction information

Stripe stores payment and subscription records, including the plan, amount, currency, status, renewal dates, and checkout email. We retain Stripe identifiers and entitlement status needed to grant or revoke access.

Device, browser, and usage information

Server logs can temporarily contain an IP address, request details, browser information, and timestamps. Meta Pixel receives page-view and funnel events and may receive browser identifiers, IP-derived location, cookies, and similar device information under Meta’s own terms.

Security information

For abuse prevention, we retain irreversible hashes of identifiers and request counters instead of the underlying email address or IP address whenever practical.

• To perform the contract and act at your request: save quiz progress, calculate a chart, process a subscription, grant access, and provide requested readings.
• With your consent: send newsletter messages and process information you voluntarily submit for an optional feature.
• For legitimate business interests: protect the service, prevent abuse, debug errors, understand funnel performance, and improve the website.
• To meet legal obligations: preserve records required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, and lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information for money.

We disclose limited information to providers that operate the service, including Stripe for payments, Supabase for database and authentication services, OpenAI for requested AI interpretations, Resend for email delivery, Google for optional sign-in, Meta for measurement and advertising analytics, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Each receives only the information needed for its function.

Some U.S. state laws use broad definitions of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising that can include advertising pixels even when no money changes hands. You can block Meta Pixel through browser privacy controls or content blockers and can contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out right.

Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. We use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information wherever it is processed.

• Birth profile: until you delete it from the birth-chart page or ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions.
• Quiz session: up to 30 days from the last relevant activity. The browser copy remains until you clear site data.
• Incomplete-checkout controls: limited hashed records may be retained for up to 90 days to prevent repeated reminders; a recovery link can remain valid for up to 30 days.
• Newsletter consent: while subscribed. A suppression or consent record may be retained after unsubscribing to honor the request and demonstrate compliance.
• Palm image, generated readings, and chats: not stored in our application database.
• Payment and accounting records: as required by tax, accounting, chargeback, and other applicable laws.
• Support correspondence: generally up to two years.
• Server logs: generally up to 30 days.
• Rate-limit and sign-in security records: from a few hours to two days, depending on their purpose.

Essential cookies and browser storage support secure sign-in, saved quiz progress, checkout verification, and subscription access. Disabling these features can prevent the website from working correctly.

Meta Pixel loads on the website to report page views and selected funnel events. Meta may combine this information with information from its own services. You can restrict it with browser tracking protection, a content blocker, or your Meta advertising preferences.

Depending on your state, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising disclosures and to receive equal service when you exercise a privacy right.

Email hello@orbitalkarma.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We respond within the period required by the law that applies to you.

You can delete your saved birth profile from the birth-chart page. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the local birth-data and quiz copies from that browser.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. You may also contact the attorney general in your state.

The paid service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the type of information we process, including server-only database access for sensitive records, restricted service credentials, signed access tokens, and rate-limiting. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

When this policy changes, we update the effective date shown above. If a change materially affects how we use information and we have your email, we may also provide notice by email or within the service.
